Was the iPad in Avatar?

Considering the negative hype of the iPad recently, here’s something to consider.

The tablet depicted in Avatar could be the iPad in a few generations.

The product may allow you to transfer images and content from your computer onto your iPad with a flick of the wrist, and the content would be visible from both sides.

Imagine being able to “swipe”  music, videos, books, and files from your computer or cellphone from screen to screen with your fingers. It would eliminate the need for a USB slot.

Do I hear complaints about the iPad not having any USB slots? Perhaps it’s all part of the master plan.

If the “swipe” function comes to fruition, it would make the rest of the Apple line much more hip. Apple computers, phones, and music players would all have to become swipe-enabled. Hello, iPod Swipe.

The iPad could become a crucial tool for people in all industries to quickly transfer, display, and store photos and information. (Uses in the medical and media/entertainment industries come to mind…or to educate a soldier about an alien leader.)

People should consider the possibilities that the iPad provides, not how well it works like everything else. Everyone knows that the first generation of Apple products is more-heavily weighted towards potential than realization.

After all, the current negativity around the iPad is identical to the first reactions to the first iPod — and look at how popular the iPod is now!

Apple loves to play these “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” games. If history is to be repeated, I have no doubt that the iPad will corner a new market and that Apple will continue to amaze.
