Okay…so maybe I am socially awkward. I’ve always been a geek, really.
My family traveled a lot when I was younger, so I had few real-life friends.
The fact that I went to a very clique-ish private school didn’t help either.
The nerdiness all began with PC games like Warcraft I + II, Starcraft, The Secret of Monkey Island, and Loom. I still love pixelated art!
When the Internet started to get popular, chatrooms became my second home. (Full Disclosure: I told my chatroom friends that I was 16-17, though I was really 11-13 at the time. Whew, confessions feel good!)
I met my first boyfriend when I was 12 on a tween website called “Sometimes Y.” We went “out” for 2 weeks. I never found out what he looked like in real life.
I’ve been blogging in one form or another since I was 13. Xanga came first, then a handful of Livejournal accounts. I decided to get serious about blogging and start a “real” blog with WordPress. Now I’ve stepped it up another notch by ranting on YouTube. :)
